The Zielvier is made by Zeiss. This is one of four producers who were appointed by the German Sniper doctrine to produce snipers for the army, although they were not exclusively producing scopes for army purposes, whether its SS or Wehrmacht. The Zielvier is quality wise and arguably aesthetically the best sniperscope made by the Germans during the wartime. The Zeiss Ziel- series of scopes were cutting edge technology, combining elevation and distance adjustment into one knob, which no other optic producer had done before. These scopes were highly preferred over every other scope by German snipers. The #1 German sniper Matthaus Hetzenauer famously had a Ziel- series scope on his k98. A Zielsechs to be specific. The Ziel- series of scopes are all identical in how they work and adjust, the only different is the objective lens size for greater magnification. This example of the Zielvier is in mintcondition.
