These are the only ww2 accurate presentation cases available for the Sauer 38h in the world. Reverse engineered from the original wartime cases using what original samples from the war were available, which makes this ww2 inspired case look and feel as authentic as possible. The core of this box is made of hardwood. The outer coating is PU leather, Exactly how the originals were made as well. The case locks closed with a slide button, also how the originals were locked. The inside has a hard rubber insert with velvet coating. The originals had a wooden insert with velvet coating. The choice to use a hard rubber insert with velvet coating has to do with rubber being more durable (less brittle) and more firearm friendly. Modern cases all have hard rubber inserts for a reason! The hinges on these cases are also much more robust and will never wear out or break with normal use. These changes do not affect the authentic appearance of the case and can easily be mistaken for original from a small distance!
