Who is IVR?
Iwan, the CEO of IVR is a Mechanical Engineer and author from the Netherlands with almost a decade of experience in product design and Civil/ Mechanical structure design. He has always had a passion for history and militaria and uses his engineering knowledge for this hobby. Most prominently, Iwan has knowledge of German weapons, optics and watches. Most items and services offered by IVR will be related, but not limited, to these fields.
IVR2021 specializes in reproducing rare items made during and before the war. These items are typically hard to find and too expensive for standard collectors, either due to their rarity or high market prices. IVR aims to make these rare items more accessible to collectors by offering faithful, and often improved reproductions of the originals.
Production methods and materials
To ensure the quality of our reproductions matches that of the originals, IVR use the same materials and production methods that were used during and before the war. This attention to detail allows our reproductions to closely resemble the original items, making them nearly indistinguishable from the real ones. To clearly differentiate the reproductions from the originals, all of IVR2021’s products bear the IVR logo in a unnoticeable spot when necessary. In some usecases the products need to be more durable then then the original standard production items. In this case IVR offers a line of products that has been produced from a more resilient material that can be used in the range and will withstand much more use then the originals, effectively making them better. Other items made by IVR are strictly used for display purposes and will not be suitable for use.
Vision
IVR believes that reproductions serve an essential purpose in preserving history and making it accessible to a wider audience. We view reproductions as a positive way of keeping history alive, especially when the original items are scarce and valuable. By offering reproductions, IVR2021 allows standard collectors to own and enjoy these historically significant items without the prohibitive costs associated with original pieces. Additionally, collectors and reenactors can use these reproductions without fear of damaging or devaluing the rare originals.
While some people may have reservations about reproductions, IVR2021’s approach is not to deceive customers by selling reproductions as originals, or selling reproductions that can be sold by third parties as originals. All items made by IVR have a production stamp in them that clearly differentiates them from originals, to make reselling them as original impossible. IVR focusses on providing high-quality reproductions for historical enthusiasts and collectors, enriching the community and preserving rare items from the past.
